Tapas in Barcelona – Ciutat Comtal

A couple of hours after flying into Spain we were picked up by some Barcelona-dwelling relatives who took us out for our first amazing meal of tapas. Cuitat Comtal is a local institution and well-known abroad. When we arrived the place was crowded so to shorten our wait we indulged in some cerveza and sangria and took in the sights, smells and sounds of this traditional Catalonian tapas restaurant. One of our hosts is a born and bred Barcelona girl so we let her take care of the ordering, and were duly impressed with the array of dishes presented to us. If you’re going to Barcelona – and I HIGHLY recommend that you do – you should definitely drop in here. Fabulous food, great atmosphere, great service. A really wonderful place!
